Detox Flow
with Trish Dingman

physical and emotional impurities that prevent you from achieving
your optimal health. Practiced for centuries in ayurvedic
and Chinese medicine systems and other cultures, detoxification
is about stimulating, cleansing, and nourishing the body from
the inside out.
Detox Flow Yoga gives practitioners
familiar with the standard poses of vinyasa flow yoga a mind-body-spirit
immersion that explores

The Breath Workshop
(Pranayama)
Learn how to effectively breathe in your yoga class.
The breath is just as paramount to yoga as the poses, if not
more so. This workshop we will explore the fundamentals of
proper breathing and how to couple the breath with the poses.
You will learn how to deepen the breath through various techniques
such as the simple yogic breath, the deep oujiya breath, the
breath of fire and other therapeutic breaths.
In a Yogic point of view, proper
breathing (pranayama) is to bring more oxygen to the blood
and to the brain, and to control Prana or the vital life energy.
Pranayama means "breathing techniques" or "breath
control". Ideally, this practice of opening up the inner
life force is not merely to take healthy deep breaths. It
is intended for yoga practitioners to help and prepare them
in their Meditation process.
Breathing is important for two basic
reasons
- It is the only means of supplying our
bodies and its various organs with oxygen which is vital
for our health.
- Breathing is one of the ways to
get rid of waste products and toxins from our body.
