Get to know Natalie…
Natalie has been teaching yoga for over 5 years and is a Certified Yoga Therapist. Her journey with yoga started after a traumatic car accident that left her in chronic pain and suffering from depression. Her practice has helped her rebuild her body, manage and cope with chronic pain, increased her flexibility and strength, alleviated her from the depressive state she was in, as well as improved her relationship with herself and with others.
Natalie completed her first 200-hour teacher training in 2010 at the Yandara Yoga Institute in Baja, Mexico and has continued to train and learn. She has successfully completed a 300-hour teacher training program in 2012 and most recently, a two year 700-hour intensive Yoga Therapist Training with Yoga Therapy Toronto.
Natalie’s focus as a teacher is to create a space for students to begin to discover themselves and help facilitate their own healing. She offers a light, intelligible and fun approach to yoga. Classes focus on breathing awareness and emphasize how to get in and out of postures safely and effectively. Her versatility allows her to teach different styles of yoga, including traditional Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Chair Yoga, Partner Yoga, Private and Yoga Therapy.
Her life experiences give her a unique approach to yoga and it is her passion to be able to help others find healing and pain relief. Sheis grateful for the opportunity to teach others the powerful healing benefits of practicing yoga, on and off their mats!
