Katie has always been drawn to the flow of movement through dance. She has been professionally trained in both ballet and jazz which as a result, had led to a substantial amount of injuries over the years. She found that yoga introduced her to a new and healthy approach that taught her to honor and respect the body. She discovered that yoga helped with her focus and stress levels throughout her years as a post-secondary student graduating with a Sociology and Social Work degree from York University. Immediately post- graduation, she got on a plane to Mexico where she received over 200-hrs in training to become a yoga instructor as well as a certified Reiki practitioner. In her classes, she promotes mindfulness, breathing techniques and a variation of body postures to help nourish the body, mind and uplift the spirit.
