Melanie
Alcobendas
Melanie Alcobendas is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated
from Sutherland-Chan Teaching School and Clinic in 2002 in
downtown Toronto. She has been practicing at LifeMark Physiotherapy
clinics for over 5 years now in a multi-disciplinary setting,
and feels she’s ready to make the transition to the
Holistic Healing center at The Yoga Loft. With an Orthopedic
approach to treatments, she is able to treat many musculoskeletal
conditions such as strains, sprains, overuse, work related
and motor vehicle accident injuries, and also treat for general
relaxation. Hot Stone Massage is also incorporated in her
practice as an accessory to the general Swedish techniques
in her treatments. Now she is focusing her energy on building
a Thai Yoga Massage client base. This ancient bodywork is
the perfect fit for yoga students looking to gain more flexibility
and range of motion in their practice while focusing on the
4 states of mind according to the Thai people: loving kindness,
compassion, balance, and joy. Because Melanie is a registered
massage therapist, all treatments performed by her are reimbursable
by Extended Health Plans.
Melanie continues to learn and explore new
techniques for different conditions and injuries to expand
her Continuing Education Portfolio and to help treat her clients
with the best of care safely and effectively.

Silvia
Delalande
Silvia N. Delalande is a graduate of The Toronto School of
Homeopathic Medicine and The Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia.
She has successfully completed and is qualified in the theory,
practice and management of cases according to classical Hahnemannian
principles of Homeopathic Therapeutics. She also completed
the foundation program in veterinary homeopathy. She is an
active member of NUPATH (National United Professional Association
of Trained Homeopaths),the West Coast Homeopathic Society
and Bowtech.

Hasina
Ireland
Graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in
2001, Hasina has been granted authorization to use the designation
Registered Holistic Nutritionist. Her ongoing studies in Nutrition,
how it relates to our energetic beings, body-mind-soul relationship
to illnesses, biology and physiology, iridology, Reiki (recieved
Reiki Master Certification in 2006) as well as the many subjects
that can fall under metaphysics (philosophy, yoga, meditation,
dreams, astrology, self-help studies, positive thinking, etc...)
are of intense interest for Hasina.
Having worked with Naturopaths, Homeopaths, Nutritionists,
and many other wellness professionals, Hasina has gained and
is continuing her knowledge and education in the health and
wellness industry. She has been a guest speaker for various
health talks on Nutrition and Holistic Practices on 89.5 FM
& 105.5 FM radio stations, in the Peel, North York and
Scarborough regions, as well as conducting her own. In her
practice, Hasina utilizes Nutrition Therapy through lifestyle,
diet, herbs, supplementation, and more by using particular
assessment tools which discover symptoms as they relate to
nutrition and energetic health imbalances associated with
vital functions of the body.

Mann
Susan’s primary mandate is to
empower YOU to live the most joyous, uplifting life of your
dreams! Her passion is to guide others toward living their
most passionate life! When the student is ready, the most
perfect teacher will always appear. Everything happens as
it is meant to, and when it is meant to!
After spending over 12 years contributing
to the Information Technology culture in the corporate world,
her intuitive abilities have guided her to a path of alternative
healing which she has actively practiced since 2001.

Margarita
Platov, RPP
Margarita Platov is a Registered Polarity Therapy Practitioner
who has been involved in the field of Holistic Healing since
1995. Her continued interest in body, health and energy has
led her to study Polarity Therapy, Cranial Sacral Therapy,
Bowen Technique, Reiki, Educational Kinesiology, Ear Candling,
Meditation and Yoga. Margarita is a member of the American
and Ontario Polarity Therapy Associations and the profound
effect of the simplicity of touch continues to be an ongoing
area of her study and interest.

Silvia
Spizzirri (Certified Aromatherapy
Massage, Hot Stone Massage Practitioner)
Silvia has a wealth of knowledge and experience working in
the holistic health field. She serves clients through a well-rounded
spiritual and holistic approach incorporating mental, emotional,
physical and spiritual well-being. She studied the health
benefits and therapeutic properties of plant based essential
oils which are used in Aromatherapy. The led her to complete
the Certification Course at the School of Aromatherapy and
Holistic Therapists Training Program in Mississauga, Ontario.
She also received training from The Stone Massage Company
in Toronto and is a qualified and experienced Hot Stone Massage
Practitioner and now incorporates this deeply soothing, relaxing
and luxurious healing therapy into her practice. She provides
a gentle and nurturing approach in order to assist each individual
along on their healing journey.
Silvia has participated in a number of health
and wellness events and workshops sharing experiences and
educating the public in the areas of holistic health, wellness
and spirituality. Her other interests include Energy Healing
and Bodywork, Yoga, Meditation, Crystal and Gemstone Healing
for Chakras, Music and Sound Therapy, Herbology, Homeopathy
and Nutritional Healing. She believes that we each have the
healing power within us and that we merely need to connect
with our inner source in order to tap into this healing energy
and allow it to flow. When As a practitioner her role is to
encourage and awaken this existent healing energy that we
are all blessed with.
Silvia is constantly studying, learning
and invoking the wisdom of her soul consciousness in order
to meet the needs of her clients and to offer her therapeutic

Hae
Kwang (Robert Gallop) Sunim
Hae Kwang (Robert Gallop) Sunim is an
Eastern Complimentary Medicine Specialist, Certified Herbalist,
Thai Yoga Massage Therapist and president of the Thai Holistic
Practitioners Alliance (T.H.P.A). He has authored many books
and health articles in leading health and fitness magazines
over the last 25 years and still writes a monthly column in
Body Fitness Magazine (a popular European news stand magazine).
Hae Kwang Robert began studying Pon Klie (Thai Yoga), Buddhism
and Eastern Complimentary Medicine in 1990. In 1994, he traveled
to Thailand to study with different teachers and Thai monks
in the Theravada Tradition. In 1998, he started to study Zen
and Zen Qi Gong in Korea and California and became a formal
student of Ven. Dr. Jong Mae Park and later a graduate of
I.B.S. He also was certified in Zen Qi Gong under Grand Master
Foo (D.D.C.G. Instructor Training Course). Hae Kwang Robert
works closely with the I.B.S. Institute which is affiliated
with Dong-Bang University in Seoul and World Buddhist University
in Bangkok. For almost a decade he has been conducting classes,
meditation retreats and mind / body medicine workshops across
California. In 2009, Hae Kwang moved to Toronto and is now
acting director of Zen Taego Order Canada (www.taegozen.net).
In 2009, he accepted the position as Vice Dean at the Institute
of East Asian / Buddhist Studies (www.wbu-austria.com).
